Planning is already under way to ensure an exciting programme that will represent a huge range of arts from music, theatre, dance and comedy to visual arts, crafts and writing.

Didsbury West Labour Party Quiz Night

On Thursday 9th December the Labour Party in Old Moat and Didsbury West are hold a Quiz Night.

The venue is The Albert Club, West Didsbury on Thursday 9th December. These events are always fun to attend and there will be additional raffles as well as other party games.

Didsbury Mosque

The Didsbury Mosque and Islamic Centre is located on Burton Road, West Didsbury. It is housed in what used to be the Albert Park Methodist Chapel, originally opened in 1883. In 1962 the church closed and after a period of time was converted to what is now Didsbury Mosque.

Shaikh Mustafa Abdullah Graf is currently Imam at the Mosque and the very popular Didsbury Mosque has an attendance of over 1,000 people each day.

It is one of many local Worship & Religious Buildings found in Didsbury.

Didsbury’s Big Breakfast

Saturday 27th November 10am – 3.00pm

Join us for Didsbury’s Big Breakfast, a fundraising event at The Albert Club, Old Lansdowne Road, West Didsbury.

This event is part of After Adoption’s celebrations during the month of National Adoption Week and will raise funds for local children and adults affected by adoption.

Breakfast barms will be available from 10am-12 noon with tea, coffee and refreshments available all day.

Entry is free and on the day there will be:

Kids activities and competitions
Gourmet stalls and fantastic foodie prizes
Christmas cards and decorations
Lucky dip
PLUS stalls selling books & DVDs, plants, produce, games and gifts

Halloween and Bonfire Nights 2010

2011 bonfire and fireworks events are here

Halloween and bonfire night are not far off so we thought it was time to put a list of Halloween and bonfire night related events, activities and offers for you to peruse.

Halloween

Gusto
Any child in fancy dress eats free on 31st October between noon and 4pm. See flyer for details.

AiryFairyCupcakes
For the spooky Halloween period, AiryFairyCupcakes are doing special Halloween themed cakes! Find out more.

The Northern
The Northern on Palatine Road are having a Halloween party for the children on 6th November from 2pm until 5pm, with games, face painting and a prize for the best Halloween costume. Also see firework displays below.

Fireworks and Bonfires

The Northern (Tennis Club)
There will be a firework display on 6th November from 6pm. Free sparklers for the children. £2 for adults and £1 for children. Chilli, hotdogs and much more. Also see Halloween above.

Cavendish School
Cavendish School West Didsbury will be holding a Bonfire and fireworks display from 6pm on Friday 5th November. £2 for adults and free for children. Firewood donations accepted via 0161 434 1020.

The Albert Club
Friday 5th November 6.30pm. Free.

“Come and kick-off your Friday night (5th Nov) with our firework display on the bowling green! All we ask is that you bring one GOOD firework as a donation, the club will be putting on the rest.

A ravenous fire-eater will be putting on a show while you enjoy some warm seasonal food and mulled wine.

Please make sure your fireworks are stored correctly prior to bringing them. Our designated pyrotechnician will be the only person setting them off.
