West Didsbury Resident Parking Proposals

After a long campaign by a group of West Didsbury residents, Manchester City Council is currently undertaking a consultation entitled “Environmental Improvement and Residents Parking Scheme Proposals”.

If the proposals get the go ahead they will have a wide ranging impact on the Burton Road area and much of West Didsbury.

The council are in the process of finalising a scheme that they have said will bring relief to many residents who find it difficult to park near their own houses due to the demands for free parking spots near to Withington Community Hospital and the shops, cafes and bars of Burton Road. West Didsbury’s Withington Community Hospital has a large carpark which is not free to use and as such many avoid using it.

Wine Tasting, Latin Food & Salsa Demo At The Northern

The Northern will be hosting a night of wine, latin food and salsa dancing on 16th April from 7.30pm.

The event will begin with South American wine tasting, followed by a latin food tasting plate from Latin Kitch and then a change to watch a salsa dancing demonstration.
